Consultancy Services for for Consultancy Services for Renovation, Modernization & Uprating (RMU) - preparation of final DPR, technical specifications & complete bid documents of Rana Pratap Sagar Power Station (RPSPS), Rawatbhata, as per detailed scope of work (Annexure-B)

DETAILED SCOPE OF WORK FOR RENOVATION, MODERNIZATION & UPRATING ( RMU) STUDY AT RPS PS , RAWATBHATA

PHASE-I (CONDUCTINGRMU STUDY & SUBMISSION OF REPORT AND DRAFT DPR )

Preliminary study and preparation of action plan:-

Visit of consulting engineers to RPS PS station for collection of relevant data such as drawings, O&M log books, equipment data sheets, etc.

Carry out visual inspection of all major components and discussion with plant O&M personnel and engineers to identify major problems experienced during operation, maintenance pre & post flooding.

Review and analysis of available data and prepare action plan for RMU work.

 

Brief scope of work :

Study shall be undertaken on the Turbine, generator and its auxiliaries, inlet valves, Victaulic Butterfly valves etc. of units at RPSPS.

Study of water conducting system and specific problems that may be required to be set right and to suggest replacement/ refurbishment of necessary items with appropriate latest technology.

On the spot scientific study to be conducted to confirm the economic viability of R&M or RM &U of all the units of RPSPS, Rawatbhata.

Healthiness of Generator Stator frame and core.

Upgradation of protection & control and metering & instrumentation system.

Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system and Man - machine interface are to be envisaged.

Preparation of

RMU Report

Detailed Project Report

Technical Specification based on the RMU study as described in detailed scope of work.

Tests proposed to be conducted and methodology of evaluation of test results may be detailed.

Note: It is preferred to execute proposed works without carrying out any major modification to the civil structure/ water conducting system.

Civil Structure

As RPSPS civil structure has already served more than 50 years of its useful life therefore its condition assessment is felt necessary. All visual inspection and any tests if required for the conditional assessment of the civil structures in coordination with the Civil wing of RVUN shall be in scope of the consultant

Submission of RMU report and draft DPR:

PHASE-II FINALIZATION OF DPR AND TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

Preparation and Finalization of Bid documents:-

Based on the final DPR and suggestions/comments of RVUN on draft bid documents the consultant shall prepare bid documents i.e. scope of work, technical specifications, qualifying requirement, BOQ, G-Schedule etc for proposed work and submit to the Superintending Engineer (Generation),
